This two-piece brothers from Zambia, have been compared to the White Stripes and Black Keys because of their rock and roll genre and Bite the Buffalo is just as good as them with the strong guitar riff and melody. They recently released their new EP called 'Bromigos' last January with the Southern Pink Flamingo as the hero of the track. Also they are working on their upcoming debut album with legendary music producer Paul Corkett whose had been working previously with Bjork, The Cure, Placebo, etc. Read more for the interview:

Hello Australia,

1. Who makes up your band?
We are two brothers Stos Goneos (Vocals/Guitar) and Dimitri Goneos (Drums/Vocals)

2.  Where are you guys from?
We're from The Copperbelt which is a small mining province in Zambia, Central Africa.

3. Who’s your music inspiration?
Flight Of The Concords

4. Can you tell us how did your band formed?
Dont know really, we've played together since we were 'boykies' hey. We just decided to throw a name on it and put an EP out in the last year.

5. What's the story behind your band's name?
It stem’s from a drinking game we’d play in Zambia, drink with your left hand only or Bite The Buffalo... literally.

6. We love "Southern Pink Flamingo". Can you guys tell us the story behind the song, just a little bit?
Ah thanks, a woeful tale about spending a single alcohol induced night with an estranged lover and hoping they’d return the next night... no actual flamingos were harmed during the writing of this song.

7. What kind of bands are guys into at the moment?
The Growlers, Broken Hands, Devil Makes Three, NativeJune, The Heavy, Kill It Kid and we got Tame Impala's 'Innerspeaker' in the van right now.

8. What are you working on at the moment?
Writing our debut album right now which we’re set to mix and master with a top secret super dude (info released soon) in LA, California over August. Releasing demo’s soon before we tour France and Spain in July.

9. So, you guys are going to record your new EP with legend producer Paul Corkett , how does it feel ?
Paul Corkett! We became drinking buddies at our local watering hole, think we got him drunk enough to come watch a show... since then he’s been really involved with what we’re doing. Now we’ve got the opportunity to work with him in the studio this year, I mean here’s a guy who’s worked with the likes of Radiohead, Placibo, The Cure, Biffy Clyro etc, it’s incredible to have a guy like that join our little family. (we’re recording and producing a full length album with the man)

10. If you could collaborate with any musician, who would it be and why?
Paul McCartney (before he died in 1966, for reals)

11. If you could play anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Woodstock Festival, Bethel, New York August 18th, 1969.
